About
Who I Am
Hi, I’m Von Billones (Von), 20 years old, a BS Biology student at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), majoring in Zoology, currently figuring out how will I survive my third year without combusting from deadlines, lab reports, and overthinking.
What I Do
When I’m not buried in university works or preparing for exams, I’m probably outside, either lifting, running, or chasing mountain views. I find clarity in the outdoors. Running helps me clear my head, and hiking reminds me to slow down, breathe, and appreciate something bigger than deadlines.
I’ve always been into fitness and nutrition, not just for aesthetics, but because they keep me grounded. I’m fascinated by how the body works (from training principles and recovery to nutrition science) and even the process of aging.
These things help me stay curious and consistent, even when college life gets chaotic.
Why I Started This Blog
I made this blog to dump the thoughts I can’t keep to myself — about relationships, personal growth, college life, and being stuck somewhere between “I got this” and “I’m losing it.” It’s a space for the raw, the funny, the frustrating, and the stuff no one teaches you in school.
While most of what I share comes from personal experience, I’m also eager to back things up with science. I love reading studies, learning from them, and weaving evidence-based insights into my posts whenever I can.
I don’t have all the answers, and I’m definitely not here to preach — but I do want to make sense of things, and maybe help someone else feel a little more understood along the way.
Thanks for being here.
Everything I write here is a mix of personal experiences, reflections, and the occasional research-backed insight. I’m not claiming to be an expert, just someone trying to make sense of things and share what I’ve learned (or unlearned). Some of my thoughts might not be fully accurate, complete, or aligned with your beliefs — and that’s okay.
If something I say comes off the wrong way or feels offensive, please know that it wasn’t intentional. This blog is my space — a personal outlet where I process, overthink, and sometimes mess up. You’re free to disagree, skip a post, or start a conversation. Just remember: I’m still learning, like everyone else. :))
